Nashua Visitation Center Donations

Nashua, NH, February 2003 — Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture recently donated two rooms of furniture to the Greater Nashua Visitation Center and the Young Adult Program (YAP) of the Community Council of Nashua.  The Visitation Center provides a safe, neutral environment for children who have come from a home with domestic violence to visit with a non-custodial parent.  The YAP program provides mental health services for adolescents.  The donation was made to celebrate the grand opening of Bernie & Phyl’s new superstore in Nashua.  Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture’s “Friends In Need” program donates furniture on an ongoing basis to charitable organizations in need in all of the areas where the company has stores.  Pictured from left to right: Francine Gagne, Young Adult Program Coordinator; Phyllis and Bernie Rubin, Founders of Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture; and Susan Bradbury, Visitation Center Coordinator.
