Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture In The Community

July, 2002 — Bernie and Phyllis Rubin, co-founders of Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture, offered support and encouragement to donors at a recent blood drive sponsored by the American Red Cross and Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture.  The drive, which was held at Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture’s Westboro store, brought in over 50 people to donate blood and was a huge success.  Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture plans to continue its support of the Red Cross on an ongoing basis with additional blood drives at its retail stores. 

Boston, MA, July 2002 — Bernie and Phyllis Rubin (a.k.a Bernie and Phyl) and their sons, all of Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture, recently delivered free furniture to four needy Habitat for Humanity families moving into their new homes on Woodville Street in Roxbury.  Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture has an ongoing relationship with Habitat for Humanity to help furnish all of the houses the organization builds in the Greater Boston and Nashua areas.  From left to right, Bob Pepe (son-in-law), Phyllis Rubin, Bernie Rubin, Larry Rubin (son), and Rob Rubin (son).
